What Kayteria Knott Learned from a Career in Logistics

Kayteria Knott has enjoyed a successful career as a Logistician, and in today’s industry interview, she has agreed to share the lessons learned from her pursuit in the field of logistics.

Logistics is defined as the detailed organization and implementation of a complex operation. In general, logistics is the organization of a flow of things starting from the point of origin to the point of consumption.

A career in logistics often means managing how resources are acquired, stored and transported to their final destination.

“I have had the opportunity to propose new methods to improve situations in logistics, from the overall logistics to the inventory and accounting capabilities,” says Kayteria Knott.

Kayteria Knott says, “The Industry that I specialize in ensures that resources are acquired, stored and transported properly within federal as well as the global code of conduct and ethic standards.”

“It’s a highly integrated supply chain network that links producers and consumers through multiple transportation modes including air and express delivery services, freight, rail, maritime and truck transport.”

From her career in logistics, Kayteria knott learned to love learning. That is to say that she developed a deep passion for learning once she became involved in logistics. Since logistics is about continuously optimizing the supply chain, Kayteria Knott is constantly seeking new ways to learn and do more.

At the same time, she says, “I pride myself on having a willingness to learn and accept the fact that I do not know everything.”

Kayteria Knott says that she wants to learn at least three new things about her profession and at least three new things about life every day.

“I feel that a strong point about myself is that I maintain a can-do and a will-do attitude. I always look forward to improving and mastering my area, then I seek to expand and diversify myself in other areas as well.”

A career in logistics helped Kayteria Knott develop a knack for working with people, and it also helped her understand how products get from one place to another. She began to learn and understand all the work that goes into ensuring people receive their products and services.

So, with these new learnings and lessons, what does Kayteria Knott want to do?

“In the future development of my career, I want to build an environment of professionalism in logistics and create a place where every colleague is respected and valued.”

For Kayteria Knott, it all boils down to three principles she calls ‘the golden triangle’: professionalism, support and respect.

On the subject of learning, Knott also hopes to further study the preservation of warehouses, delving into topics like accountability, inventory, maintenance and custodial duties. She is always searching for new ways to improve existing processes.

Kayteria Knott is also interested in the subject of technical maintenance and well as finding new ways to improve shipping and receiving.

Although Kayteria Knott has spent a few years in the field of logistics and learned many new lessons, she says that each day she continues to learn and that she is always eager to study more. To learn more about Kayteria Knott, you can visit her personal website.
